In the meantime, players can get into all the fighting action via the VIRTUA FIGHTER Open Championship, kicking off with the first preliminary round May 23 at Combo Breaker 2025. Additional preliminary rounds will be held at a later date for Europe and Asia, with a Japan-specific round also planned. Players who win their regional preliminary rounds will have the opportunity to participate in the Grand Final Tournament where the overall winner will receive a grand prize of $100,000.
